Students, parents and staff members at Burnet Middle School will spend this Saturday mulching, weeding, painting and planting flowers as part of the school's beautification day.
During the Saturday, Feb. 16, event, students will continue to develop the Burnet Peace Garden, which was created by the Student Council No Place for Hate initiative. The campus also plans to build a new garden called "Love" (Peace n Love) in the shape of a heart in the next school year.
Saturday's event is coordinated by the Burnet Beautification Committte. It will be attended and worked by Burnet teachers, parents, students, the Family Resource Center, and the community partner of Riverbend Church Youth Ministry. The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
