Oak Hill Elementary Website Wins Gold Award

Oak Hill Elementary School was recently awarded the gold-level award from Texas Parent Teacher Association for its outstanding website, which serves as a one-stop site for parents, students and faculty.

The site, launched in 2008 and managed by Geeta Suggs, a PTA parent volunteer, provides extensive information for current and prospective families.

The site is a one-stop-shop for school events, volunteer sign-ups, the principal's blog, school FAQs, program information and teacher wish lists. Families can easily purchase everything from spirit gear to school supplies via the site with secure payments through PayPal. Recent website improvements include adding the ability to download event details to personal electronic calendars and the ability to submit yearbook photos via the website or through a smart phone application. The website can be seen at .

The award was given based on the site's ease of navigation, content quality and visual appeal.

Congratulations, Oak Hill!
