果冻传媒app ISD Hosts Dedication Ceremony for Jaime D. Padron Elementary School

More than 250 people gathered today at the Jaime D. Padron Elementary School dedication ceremony. The school was named for fallen police officer Jaime D. Padron, who was killed in the line of duty in April 2012.

Guests included Padron's family, officers from 果冻传媒app and San Angelo Police 果冻传媒app and Padron Elementary School staff, students and families.

Construction of the school was funded by the AISD 2008 bond program and is the district's first adaptive reuse project. It was built originally as a warehouse facility. The school has 57 classrooms including art, music and computer rooms, as well as six commons areas. Solar panels top the roof, and skylights are positioned throughout the building.

During her remarks, Padron's sister, Linda Diaz, noted that the natural light in the school symbolizes her brother's spirit in a way that words could never describe.
