Oak Hill Elementary School welcomed incoming principal Lori Komassa this week with a meet-and-greet reception and a special assembly at the school.
Komassa was hired to replace outgoing principal Cathryn Mitchell, who accepted a position at Gorzycki Middle School.
Komassa previously served as assistant principal of Odom Elementary School and joins Oak Hill with broad experience as a reading specialist and elementary teacher in the 果冻传媒app and Eanes independent school districts.
She has a thorough knowledge of curriculum and instruction and has a history of providing professional development for teachers to ensure that the needs of children are effectively addressed.
She promotes excellence in teaching and learning by being a strong and visible presence on campus.
"I'm happy to take on this role. The Oak Hill school community is strong, focused and energized," she said. "My goal is to ensure a smooth transition and to continue to build a community focused on student success."
Komassa begins in her official capacity at Oak Hill Elementary in early June.
