Lanier Graduates 270 Vikings

The Lanier High School class of 2015 crossed the stage at the Frank Erwin Center today to the sound of cheering from friends and families.

A proud group of 270 Vikings became official Lanier alumni, joining the likes of AISD Trustee Paul Salda帽a and Nyle Maxwell, former mayor of Round Rock.

Salutatorian Sania Razzak thanked her family for their support and gave encouraging words to her classmates. "We are not just individual students. We are family. We have a bright future ahead. Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

The 2015 class broke records that included having the largest of number of FAFSA/TASFA applications in school history.

This year's grads earned nearly $1.3 million in college scholarships.

The 2015 Vikings also achieved great things in their extracurricular activities, with the boys basketball team making it to the playoffs, the Texas Association of Future Educators team placing second in the nation and the Lanier HOSA team making it to the state finals by organizing and planning a 5K fun run to spread awareness about mental health on campus.

Congratulations to the Lanier High School class of 2015!
