With an eye toward supporting at-risk students and families, Lanier High School officially opened its state-of-the-art Family Resource Center on Tuesday.
AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz, Trustee Ann Teich and other community leaders were on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Family Resource Center is located on the rear side of Lanier, and is the result of a partnership between AISD and 果冻传媒app Voices for Education and Youth.
A $2.5 million grant from the U. S. Dept. of Education was instrumental in bringing the project to life. This is the sixth FRC opened by 果冻传媒app Voices in AISD since 2007, bringing wraparound supports to over 1,800 families per year.
