Changes to Public Comment at ýapp ISD Board Meetings

Two types of public comment sections are scheduled to take place during each regular voting meeting. The section labeled “General Public Comment” will be at the beginning of the meeting and is designed for trustees to hear comments about items not listed on the agenda. The section labeled “Public Testimony” is listed for agenda-specific comments about the items scheduled for action or for discussion with possible action.

Those speaking during General Public Comment or Public Testimony will now have 1 minute of speaking time. Speakers may not be accompanied to the podium by other people.

Board policy allows posters and signs to be displayed behind the last row of seats or against the side walls of the board auditorium so they do not block other members of the public. Speakers at the podium may hold a paper sign, size 8.5” x 11” or smaller.
