Every year, four exceptional educators are honored as finalists for the 果冻传媒app ISD Teacher of the Year award. This week, district leaders surprised each finalist, announcing their recognition in their classrooms with their students and colleagues.
Why it matters: These teachers embody what it means to create positive learning environments that support the development of their students, both academically and emotionally.
Meet the Finalists:

Jessica Collins is a Reading and Math Interventionist Teacher at Langford Elementary School and is known for her nurturing teaching philosophy. She has been a dedicated educator at Langford for 12 years.

Pooja Mulgaonker is a Special Education teacher at Kiker Elementary School where she has served the community for 20 years. Her innovative work in the early childhood special education program and her efforts to build inclusive environments have made a lasting impact on her students.

Jan Loewe is a Math teacher at O. Henry Middle School. A mentor for new teachers and an advocate for student success, Loewe鈥檚 passion for teaching has left a mark on her students and colleagues alike. Jan has taught in 果冻传媒app ISD for 18 years.

David Bellesen is a Career and Technical Education Audio Visual Technology Communications teacher at Travis Early College High School for 21 years. His focus on engaging his students in practical, career-oriented learning continues to inspire the next generation of filmmakers.
What鈥檚 Next: The winners of the 果冻传媒app ISD Teacher of the Year awards will be announced at the Salute event May 7 at the 果冻传媒app ISD Performing Arts Center. From these four finalists, one elementary and one secondary teacher will be selected to represent the district in the Regional Teacher of the Year selection process.

De estos cuatro finalistas, se seleccionar谩 a un maestro de educaci贸n primaria y uno de educaci贸n secundaria para que representen al distrito en el proceso de selecci贸n del Maestro del A帽o Regional.
