Monday, August 28
Today, I’ll begin my week meeting with our Chief of Police, Wayne Sneed. As I do every Monday, I’ll meet with our Senior Leadership Team, and then I’ll meet with our School Safety Team. In the afternoon, I’ll visit the Central Texas Food Bank and meet with Board President Arati Singh.
Tuesday, August 29
This morning, I will meet with Trustee Ofelia Zapata and meet a community member for lunch. I will review our Bond Program in the afternoon and meet with our Chief Equity Officer, Dr. Stephanie Hawley. I’ll wrap up the day with one of my favorite meetings, the ¹û¶³´«Ã½app Association of Public School Administrators. I meet with AAPSA monthly to determine the best way to support our campus administrators and gain valuable feedback on how things are going.
Wednesday, August 30
Today is going to be fun! We start the day with the Prize Patrol—an exciting event where the ¹û¶³´«Ã½app Ed Fund visits grant award winners. I’ll then meet with Trustee Lynn Boswell. I’ll have lunch with Dyana Limon-Mercado, Travis County Clerk, to discuss some exciting opportunities.
I’m looking forward to meeting with a group of ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD supporters. The philanthropy of donor groups is critical to help us meet the needs of our students. I’ll wrap up the day by meeting with the ¹û¶³´«Ã½app Partners In Education Board.
Thursday, August 31
I’ll start my day this morning meeting with Trustee Whitley Chu. Later in the morning, I will attend an appointment with our Funder Collaborative and Dr. Sharon Vaughn from the University of Texas at ¹û¶³´«Ã½app. In the afternoon, we will be in final preparation for the Board Meeting. Thursday evening, we have our Regular Board Voting Meeting. We will review student discipline data on tonight's agenda and receive an overview of the new STAAR accountability measures.
Friday, September 1
I’ve set aside this morning to visit some campuses. For lunch, I will meet with Education ¹û¶³´«Ã½app President Ken Zarifis. I’ll spend the afternoon preparing for the coming week—our first 4-day work week.
