The last African American Men and Boys Conference of the 2010-2011 school year will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at J. Frank Dobie Middle School, located at 1200 E. Rundberg Lane. The keynote speaker will be Patrick Patterson, Executive Director of the University of Texas Community Outreach Centers, and a former principal of LBJ High School. There will also be a special performance by R&B artist Ja鈥橯uan.
Workshops will be held for parents, students and educators. Workshop topics will also include life skills and employment, and responsible relationships.
