¹û¶³´«Ã½app, TX—The ¹û¶³´«Ã½app Family Support Cooperative will host its first meeting of the 2012-13 school year from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Rosedale School, at 2117 W. 49th Street.
Each semester, hundreds of parents and community members from Central Texas participate in the cooperative, which offers information and support to parents, siblings, caregivers and educators of special needs children. AISD and community organizers will share information about support systems available to families of children with special needs or intellectual and developmental disabilities and will discuss behavioral and mental health concerns. There will be two, 45-minute sessions, which will allow attendees the opportunity to learn more and ask questions.
Spanish and sign language interpreters will be available.
A light meal and childcare will be available for meeting participants.
