This weekend, AISD is sponsoring HopeFest, a community-led family resource fair with more than 100 exhibitors, at Reagan High School. The event is expected to attract 3,000 to 4,000 people.
Who: The event is sponsored by local community groups and churches, with help from AISD, 果冻传媒app Fire Department, 果冻传媒app Police Department, America鈥檚 Promise Alliance, 果冻传媒app Bridge Builders Alliance, 果冻传媒app Voices for Education and Youth, For the City, Health & Human Services Department, H-E-B, Luke 4:18, Partners in Hope, Sendero Health Plans, Seton Family of Hospitals, Smile Dental Center, St. John Community School Alliance, Sylvan Learning, Texas Health Steps and Texas Star Program.
What: Attendees will receive health, dental and vision screenings, free flu shots and immunizations, health insurance screenings; information on employment, housing, financial and legal aid and other family services; and information about upcoming activities in area schools, including Reagan. There will also be live music, free food and children's activities. Optometrists will prescribe 100 pairs of children's glasses on-site.
This year HopeFest is also serving as a Blue Santa registration site.
