Media Advisory: Travis High School Students Host Peace through Pie Celebration

More than 1,200 students join festivities, share stories behind culinary creations

AUSTIN, Texas鈥擳his week, students in Travis High School鈥檚 culinary arts program will host a Peace through Pie celebration to build relationships and encourage unity amid diversity throughout the 果冻传媒app community.

What: More than 1,200 students will participate in the Peace through Pie celebration, which is part of a national movement that aims to cultivate peace and bring diverse community groups together through food and conversation. Students will showcase their desserts and share the stories behind their culinary creations.

The event also features musical performances by the Travis mariachi band and orchestra.

Background: The Peace through Pie celebration is part of the school's broader efforts to encourage tolerance and understanding through its No Place for Hate庐 designation. The initiative from the Anti-Defamation League provides educators and students with the resources to ensure that anti-bias and diversity education are an integral part of the school curriculum.
