The Lanier Future Farmers of America and the Multicultural Refugee Coalition are hosting an open house to celebrate the people and support who made one year possible in the Lanier Community Garden.
When: Tuesday, May 5
Open house from 5:30–7:30 p.m., with special remarks at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Lanier Community Garden, 1201 Payton Gin Road
Street parking is available for the event at the intersection of Jamestown and Fairfield drives, next to the garden.
What: Student gardeners are ready to show off their hard work. Light refreshments will be provided.
Background: The Lanier Garden was made possible as part of a $24,000 Green Grant received through a collaboration between the Northwest ¹û¶³´«Ã½app Rotary Club and the Rotary Club Monterrey Obispado, in Mexico. The garden also had support from the Lanier community, sponsors and neighbors.
