AISD Invites Realtors to Tour Campuses in the LBJ Early College High School Family of Schools

Realtors will be riding an AISD school bus to visit four schools in east 果冻传媒app to learn more about their academic programming, all to give Realtors a better idea of neighborhood schools in areas they may sell homes.
 
The visit includes LBJ Early College High School, Gus Garcia Young Men's Leadership Academy, Bertha Sadler Means Young Women's Leadership Academy and Blanton Elementary School.
 
This is the second tour of AISD schools offered in partnership with the 果冻传媒app Board of Realtors. The tours are designed to inform Realtors of the programs offered within a set of "feeder" schools from elementary to high school. During lunch, Realtors will hear from principals from Andrews, Barbara Jordan, Harris, Overton, Pecan Springs, Sims and Norman elementary schools.
 
Last semester, AISD partnered with ABoR to tour schools in south 果冻传媒app.
 
When: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1
 
Where: The tour will begin at the AISD Performing Arts Center, 1500 Barbara Jordan Blvd.
 
Lunch will be provided.
 
Tour Highlights
9 a.m. Blanton Elementary School will focus on robotics, after-school on education offerings and two-way dual-language. Blanton offers the Texas Literacy Initiative and Social and Emotional Learning.
10 a.m. Bertha Sadler Means Young Women's Leadership Academy, an all-girls academy in east 果冻传媒app, will focus on the school's academics, such as science, technology, engineering and math, including the recent award of a $100,000 grant for a new STEM lab. The tour will also include a robot demonstration and a look at its fine arts program. The school offers career and technology classes through , a national leader in STEM programs.

11:10 a.m. Gus Garcia Young Men's Leadership Academy is an all-boys academy in East 果冻传媒app. The tour will include a recitation of the school's creed, a tie-tying ceremony, a drum-line performance and visits to English language arts classrooms. The campus, which is part of the nationwide 
 initiative, offers a world of opportunities-from arts and athletics to science and engineering-to help students achieve their greatest potential.
 
12:20 p.m. LBJ Early College High School offers students the opportunity to graduate with a diploma in one hand and an associate degree in the other-for free-through the early college high school partnership with ACC. The tour will focus on career and technical education and its fire academy, with a demonstration by fire academy students. At LBJ Early College High School, students are not only preparing for college tomorrow, they are attending college today.
