果冻传媒app ISD exceeds state, region in college readiness

The latest annual report for 果冻传媒app ISD shows the district surpasses both state and local rates of college readiness in nearly all student groups.

The Texas Academic Performance Report, released by the Texas Education Agency, was presented to the 果冻传媒app ISD Board of Trustees and the community Feb. 27 during a public hearing.

According to the report, 果冻传媒app ISD students perform significantly higher than the state and region with 70% of students showing college, career and military readiness. That鈥檚 compared to 48% at the state level and 57% regionally.

果冻传媒app ISD鈥檚 continued college readiness improvement is the result of strategic efforts, including TSI training for teachers, which equips them with the tools to better prepare students for success. Additionally, expanded college readiness resources and targeted intervention programs have provided students with the guidance and support they need to meet and exceed readiness benchmarks. Moving forward, we continue to strengthen this foundation by fostering collaboration with our campuses in partnership with Secondary Outcomes, Academics and other departments, ensuring that more students have the resources, support, and opportunities to achieve college readiness.

"This achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and potential of our students,鈥 果冻传媒app ISD Executive Director of Secondary Outcomes Ashley Binniker, said. 鈥湽炒絘pp ISD students continue to set the bar high, surpassing both state and regional averages in college readiness scores. As we recognize their success, we remain committed to providing the support needed to help even more students reach their full potential.鈥

Additionally, these trends are mirrored in nearly every student group, including African-American, Hispanic, Emergent Bilingual and Special Education students.

That data is backed by our tracking of Class of 2022 graduations, which shows 60% of those graduates who enrolled in a Texas four-year public university in the year following high school graduation earned a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Every year the Texas Education Agency creates the TAPR report, which contains a wide variety of performance data and information about districts and schools. The results are tied to the performance of the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness for students in grades 3鈥12. The data lags by one year, so the latest TAPR covers the 2023鈥24 school year. For college readiness, the data is focused on the 2022鈥23 school year.
