Lucy Read Prekindergarten Demonstration School - First-Year Cohort's 3rd-Grade TAKS Performance, Spring 2011
Students who attended Read pre鈥怟 in 2006-2007 performed better than the state average on their Spring 2011 3rd grade math TAKS and had a greater percentage scoring commended on math TAKS than did other AISD pre-K students or those assumed to qualify for pre鈥怟.
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Evaluation 2009-2011
AISD used $16 million to support 25 ARRA IDEA projects to reduce the student academic achievement gap, reduce disproportionality, reduce dropout, improve district processes, improve teacher quality, and evaluate programs.

English Language Learners 6th Grade Reading TAKS Performance, Spring 2011
Spanish ELLs鈥 6th鈥恎rade TAKS reading passing rates declined from 2008 to 2011, possibly due to the increased number of Spanish ELLs who exited language programs prior to 6th grade and increasing state academic achievement standards in Spring 2010.
High School Exit Survey, Class of 2011
The ninth annual High School Exit Survey was administered online to seniors in every AISD high school during Spring 2011. In total, 3,793 seniors completed the survey, for an adjusted response rate of 87.3 percent.
Afterschool Centers on Education Evaluation Report , Cycle 6
Student outcomes on attendance, discipline, TAKS scores, and GPA were compared between students who participated and students who did not participate in Afterschool Centers on Education programs at AISD campuses.
